Energy Alchemy Redux
Letter Zero.70
Dear friend,
After I dropped more than 2,000 words on your inbox last week I wondered who in the world has bandwidth for something like that? So this week I challenged myself to condense my energy alchemy story down to 4 short sentences. Here it is:
You limit yourself if you think of your energy system like a battery that gets depleted and recharged daily.
A slightly better metaphor is a flywheel, a heavy wheel inside you that gives you more energy the harder and longer you push on it.
But if you really want to squeeze every volt of personal energy out of life you need alchemy, the ability to transform obstacles into fuel.
Every situation that drains the will of normal humans, use that friction, convert it into motivation that fills you with unstoppable energy.
How’d I do? And of course I can’t convert 2,500 words into 4 tweets without mentioning that Abe Lincoln once supposedly apologized to a friend saying, “I would have written a shorter letter but I didn’t have the time.” Simplicity demands additional energy. Stay creative.
Your friend,
Ade
