Claim Your Postcard Zero
Letter Zero 18
Dear friend,
Imagine the next time you walk to your mailbox, hidden among the ads, bills, and propaganda, there's a piece of art created by your friend, Adrian. That’s what I want to make happen. Here’s how...
All you have to do is update your profile to include your mailing address. As I complete new art I’ll drop it in the mail until I’ve sent a unique piece of mail to everyone who participates. Simple.
What will the art look like? Currently, I am riffing on a camera graffiti theme, but if you’ve seen the artwork I post on Instagram you know my art is a mix of paint, collage, and drawing. The themes I explore vary just as wildly. All I can promise is that your postcard will be one-of-a-kind.
Why? Real mail has power that email lacks. Old emails rot in a folder on your computer, but a postcard can live on, pinned to a cubicle wall or pressed between the pages of a good book. Even my best Letter Zero can’t come close to the feeling of a physical postcard, hand-crafted and addressed to you. During times when we’re tempted to believe that the world is crashing down, the artifacts of friends can help us remember why we keep making the trip to the mailbox. Thank you for supporting me and being a part of Letter Zero.
I will write again next Sunday. Stay creative.
Your friend,
Adrian
P.S. Hopefully it goes without saying that I take your privacy seriously and I won’t use your address to send you anything but art.
