A Camera Made of Coffee Stirrers
Letter Zero 29
Dear friend,
About a year ago I began experimenting with building a camera out of thousands of straws. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen some of the photos from my prototypes.
Today I published a story documenting my adventure starting from the original drawing in my sketchbook all the way to the current camera which is powered by a Raspberry Pi and controlled with a Nintendo joystick. There are some Lego bricks in the mix, too. I invite you read it on Medium. Here’s the link:

It’s a long story but it is packed with interesting photos and details about why I almost abandoned the project. I think you’ll like it. If you enjoy it, would you consider liking it, sharing it, and spreading the word? Thank you!
Finally, my coffee stirrer camera is ideal for creating one-of-a-kind portraits. For those of you in Colorado, I would love to take your photo with it. Reply and let’s figure out how to make that happen.
I’ll write again next Sunday. Stay creative.
Your friend,
Adrian
