Hi. I’m Ade.

I make things. You could call it art, but you don’t have to. For example, I invented a printmaking technique that uses thermal paper, alcohol, and heat. I use it to make art from flowers, fruit, and insects. Yes, I sell these prints but I prefer to give them away. Or use them like graffiti around town.

I like to use lofi media like receipts and shipping labels in my work. You can call it junk, that’s ok. That’s sort of the point. You don’t need to use expensive tools or the “correct” surfaces to make beautiful things.

Here are a few more examples of my odd methodology. I created an enormous camera out of coffee stirrers. I make pinhole cameras out of Lego. I’m into cassette tape experiments and video synthesis. Oh, and I self-published a couple books: Art of the Living Dead was my first book, and User Zero is my latest. This all adds up to an odd combo of topics that don’t play nicely with today’s algorithm-driven social media landscape. Which is a problem I am not willing to compromise myself for.

And that’s probably the biggest reason you should subscribe: you can’t rely on the algorithms to put work like mine in front of people like you. You probably landed here because something I did intrigued you. Maybe you are curious what I will make next. Why not click the button and we can become internet friends? Stay creative.

Your friend,
Ade
